About Us
History:In the fall of 1988 we started our company. Our primary focus at that time was selling machines for the production of soft serve, ice cream, and yogurt. The machines we sold had more automated features then others available at the time so we called our company Automatic Machines.
With a back ground in dairy science, ten years combined work experience with several national soft serve and ice cream franchises and manufactures namely Dairy Queen, Baskin-Robbins, and Dole Whip. With years of manufacturer representation in food machine sales and service, we were well qualified. We gave sound advice followed with prompt service always giving more then expected.
Around 1990 the bottom fell out of the yogurt market. Suddenly there were so many good, almost new, used machines available we couldn't sell a new one to save our souls. Fortunately right about that time we were starting to get more and more request for espresso machines. The slow moving expensive soft serve and ice cream inventory, and the new regulations with refrigerant gases shifted our emphasis to espresso machines. Sometime later we changed out name to Automatic Espresso Machines.When the yogurt market came back we decided to stay focused on espresso.
To get up to speed on this newly emerging industry We first went to the Italian manufactures to get educated in espresso machine technology and later with the Swiss. We still go back on a periodic basis for updates on the latest developments. Our most popular machines are the Jura and Egro lines of fully automated espresso machines.
This spring 2011 we opened our new warehouse and showroom, Our email and website address has always been "hotncold.com". A lot of our customers and friends have suggested we also make NOTNCOLD our company name, so we did.
Stop by and take our machines for a test drive. Bring your own coffee (beans or ground) for a real test. We also carry Jura Capresso brand cleaning supplies and filters, and cleaning supplies, mineral remover, sanitizers, and accessories for all machines.
