)       Double Preinfusion (Soft Infusion)
a. All Nuova Simonelli espresso machines employ an exclusive and patented single preinfusion chamber above the group head. The Aurelia uses this single preinfusion technology, plus it also has a second inline infusing mechanism located before the heat exchanger. This redundant system produces more aroma, more crema, and a more intense flavors, and compensates for possible employee errors in grinding and tamping.
2)       Group Head
a. Made of over ten pounds of solid brass the new Aurelia group heads are the largest and heaviest in the industry.
b. Two separate hydraulic thermal compensation lines combined with this massive head insures the same thermal stability whether your usage   is 50 or 2000 drinks shots per day.
c. Each group head can be individually lowered or raised. Many customers configure their machine to have two raised groups for 20oz cups and one group for smaller drinks.
d. A self-tamping feature is available on each group head.
e. The each group head temperature can be adjusted independently depending on specific needs.
3)       Boiler
a. The two group Aurelia has a 16-liter solid copper boiler with two 1-liter fresh water heat exchanger and is rated at 4500 watts. The three group Aurelia has a 26-liter solid copper boiler with three 1-liter fresh water heat exchanger and is rated at 5000 watts.
b. Aurelia boiler heating is minutely controlled by the computer constantly measuring pressure and temperature. Adjustments can be made to meet the specific demands of the user.
c. Nuova Simonelli manufactures all there own boiler tanks and the tanks are guaranteed for life.

1)   Clean Feature
a. All models can be cleaned in the traditional manner using the blind filter, group cleaning detergent and manually starting and stopping the brew cycle for cleaning. The PLUS version has an auto clean cycle that washes and rinses the groups automatically.
2)       Smart Wand Steam System
a. Every Aurelia comes with a third steam wand located between the hot water nozzle and the left group This steam can be programmed to dispense steam at the push of a button and turn off after a pre set amount of time. The PLUS and V models can be upgraded to the temperature based “Smart wand Steam System”.
b. A special insulated steam wand with thermal sensor brings the milk to the correct temperature and then  shut off automatically.
c. The insulated wand is safe to touch even during use.
d. The wand can be adjusted to increase or decrease the amount of air injected into the milk.
3)       Ergonomic Design
a. Aurelia is the first machine to be certified ergonomically.
b. The push pull steam valve actuators eliminate repetitive stress injury caused by the old style twist knob steam valves.
c. The portafilter handles are slopped down at 10.25 degrees to a more natural gripping angle. The handle itself is cushioned to reduce the shock of knocking out the spent grounds.
d. The large easy push buttons are illuminated to reduce eyestrain in dimly lit areas.
4)       Ease of Programming
a. Programming is accomplished by a pressing selected buttons on the keypad.
b. Only timed steam and hot water can programmed on the manual S machine. The Aurelia V in addition to steam and hot water can program the cup heater, keyboard lighting intensity, shot volumes, and optional Smart Wand if installed. Shot volumes can be transferred or copied to other groups or the groups can be programmed individually.
c. For tighter control and to prevent unauthorized machine use or reprogramming the Aurelia Plus uses a key management system. Two keys are provided: the T key enables the machine for use during business hours and can give managers daily totals. The U key allows authorized personnel, (owners, managers, technicians, etc.) full access to all the programming functions. The programmable functions of the Aurelia Plus are: Auto Clean Cycle. Dose, Delivery Count, Daily Machine Auto Turn On/Off, Cup Warming, Date/Time, Grinds Monitor, Alarm History, Maintenance Schedule, Language, and Light Adjust.
