Grinders Having the right grinder is extremely important. A good grinder with sharp
grinding burrs makes all the difference in the world between an excellent cup
(getting all the desirable flavor out) and ruining perfectly good coffee.
Nuova Simonelli coffee grinders are available in two basis models. ( S )
Semi-Automatic (manually turn switch on to start the grinder and manually turn
off when the desired amount is ground) and ( A ) Automatic (automatically starts
and stops as needed to maintain a full doser). A new economy version the
"GRINTA" has recently been added that is actuated by pressing a switch with the
portafilter and an exact amount of coffee fills the portafilter. All models have
a very precise micro - metric dial for adjusting coffee fineness and the Auto
and Semi Auto have a volumetric adjustment for the coffee dose. The grinders are
equipped with flat hardened steel grinding burrs. The die-cast aluminum
bodies are available in red and black, are listed: ETL Electrical and ETL Sanitation.
New this year is the cool looking Mythos Grinder. Computer
aided push button dosing with a blue screen read-out and micro-metric tamping
how much more science can the pack into a grinder? way too cool ! Check it out.
The UNIC Grinders are old school: really tough, sturdy,
well made grinders built to last. The 600 and 700 grinders are available with
conical burrs
The critical design feature of these type
grinders is low burr speed. Low blade speed insures uniform granule
size, while protecting the aroma, flavor, and prevents bean burn.
The
700 's can be fitted with optional tampers
