In the fall of 1988 we started our company Automatic Machines. Our
primary focus at that time was machines for the production of soft serve ice
cream, and yogurt, and batch freezers. The machines we sold had more
automated features then others available at the time so we called our
company Automatic Machines.
The yogurt craze was still going strong and we sold allot of machines.
Some of the shops requested coffee and espresso machines which we included
in the packages. Our success in the industry was due to our expertise in the
industry .
With a back ground in dairy science, chemistry, ten years combined work
experience with several national soft serve and ice cream franchises and
years of manufacturer representation in sales and service, we were well
qualified. We gave sound advice followed with prompt service always giving
more then expected.
Around 1990 the bottom fell out of the yogurt market. Suddenly there
were so many used machines available we couldn't sell a new one to save our
souls. Fortunately right about that time we were starting to get more and
more request for espresso machines. The slow moving expensive soft serve and
ice cream inventory, and the new regulations with refrigerant gases shifted
our emphasis to espresso machines. Sometime later we changed out name to
Automatic Espresso Machines.
To get up to speed on this newly emerging industry We first went
to the Italian manufactures to get educated in
espresso machine technology at the factory level. We still go back on a
periodic basis for updates on the latest technology. A few years later we
started representing Swiss and German companies only after receiving
rigorous factory training.
Over the years we have become experts in espresso machine technology
with emphasis on the robotic or Superautomatic machines.
